Dr. Rabia Khan is an epidemiologist and a public health specialist with over 20 years of experience in the health sector. She has extensive experience in improving health outcomes and reducing health inequalities through better use of data and evidence. She has a master’s in public health and has been awarded as a Fellow of The Faculty of Public Health in the United Kingdom.
She is currently pursuing a PhD focusing on the role of trust during the COVID 19 pandemic. She has worked for large public health organizations and international organizations like the OECD. Her work has led to health improvements in England, Australia and New Zealand and across 36 OECD countries.
She has authored a seminal report on medication adherence when working for the OECD, which has made significant contributions to raising awareness on the importance of tackling medication
non-adherence for chronic diseases. Her work has also led to a decrease in antibiotic prescribing, expanding coverage of emergency contraception services, and improvement in health services in stroke, cardiac, diabetes and mental health care. She has most recently been involved in the public health response to the COVID 19 pandemic in New South Wales, Australia.
